Ignore your first impressions of The Red Lion and make an effort to step inside. From the outside, it may look like a localised old-codger hive, filled with people that have been drinking since 1967 and haven't yet left. In reality, it's home to a set of the most accommodating bar people this side of Rotherham, with well-kept beer to boot.
