Owlerton Dog Racing
It used to be the domain of sullen old men in flat caps and fags hanging out of their mouths. It's grown a bit younger of late though, and the Owlerton racing experience has lifted greyhound racing well into, at least, the latter half of the 20th century. With bars, restaurants and all the necessary betting arrangements this can be a great (and possibly expensive) night or afternoon out. You don't need to gamble away a fortune though, and with around 260 events a year, you've got to back a winner one day.
