Hallamshire House
So it's April and you find yourself worryingly glued to the World Snooker Championship. You may not get a table down at the Crucible, but Hallamshire House is the only pub in Sheffield still housing a full-sized snooker table. Be quick though, this place gets busy. The bar has three serving areas: a cosy snug, a central area (for the pool room), and a classy back room. The Thursday night Family Fortunes quiz gets competitive and you're almost guaranteed to see a couple of old dears with their knickers in a twist getting into a squabble before closing.
