West End Hotel
Situated right next to the university drama studio, this pleasant Glossop tavern is often full of superficial theatre luvvies giving each other pretend kisses and discussing Brechtian alienation. If you're able to ignore them, and the ugly metal artwork, you'll find this a very cosy little pub indeed. With a menu full of cheap nosh and some tables out the back, it's a great place to have lunch in the Summer. The best thing about this place though is the cheap take–out cans on sale, enabling you to continue drinking at home well after last orders.
