Evil Eye Lounge
Stepping into this gem of Stonegate, you may be forgiven for thinking that you've entered a bohemian alcoholic's palace. Gongs hang from the ceiling, and every kind of alcohol known to man lines the walls. Evil Eye's cocktails range from the standard to the dangerous - like the Evil Zombie, mainly consisting of seven different rums. Continuing the spaced out theme, upstairs the main seating area has two beds, yes, beds. There are cheaper cocktails in York, but you can't beat the atmosphere in Evil Eye, with rumours of Johnny Depp visiting – another myth which after the third delicious cocktail makes a lot of sense.
