Montey's Rock Cafe
The infamous Micklegate Run. Locals around these parts know it well. It's the stretch of road where you can find the weekly stag nights and where chippies outnumber bars. But at the top of Micklegate, before you get to the vomit-stained pavements, there's Montey's Rock Cafe - a matte black doorframe as a beacon of hope in the masse of the surrounding neon lights. Plasma screens showing MTV meet you as you walk in and the bar is littered with their cheap cocktail menus (two for one before 8pm). Their beer garden is pretty snazzy too.
