Rose and Crown
Very popular with students making regular trips into town to extend their overdrafts. It also has a large crowd of friendly locals who seem to be mainly made up of bus drivers, postmen and a few journalists from the Yorkshire Evening Press who've been banned from all the pubs on Walmgate. Their big screen tellies make it a good venue to watch the footie and rugby, plus a pool table, and some decent food thrown in means it's little wonder that its patrons never seem to go to lectures or home to their wives. Serves food 'til 9pm weekdays and 'til 10pm on sundays- how cool is that.
