York Brewery
After only five years of business York's only brewery is careering round the county with its top–notch ales. You can swot up on the traditional brewing methods in a tour, before settling in this snug lounge bar to taste some award–winning produce. As well as their standards – Yorkshire Terrier, Stonewall, York Bitters, Centurion's Ghost –, they also produce specialist brews. The Busy Lizzie – a rich and fruity malt – was brewed especially for the jubilee, and brews available at certain times of the year include the Wonkey Donkey winter ale – Sep–Feb –, which you won't be able to pronounce after three.
