Slug and Lettuce
Another attempt at sophisticating the drinking holes of York, the Slug does a pretty decent job providing somewhere for the masses to show off their latest designer outlet purchases. The music's not set to ear–bleed level like most of its competition so you can rekindle the forgotten art of conversation. Pretty average food from the chargrilled–chicken–and–ciabatta school of catering by numbers but it's still a worthy option for daytime drinking and reading the papers.
