What did our ancestors do before hi–tech gadgetry was invented? Did they covet their neighbour's new pointy rock? Or swap a week's worth of rotting carcasses for the latest line in furry loincloths? Whatever went on, it has to be admitted that man's attraction to anything new, shiny or sporting pushable buttons is all embracing. The Sony Centre stocks the latest music centres, TVs, DVD players and cameras around. But be careful with your drooling as you wander around in store –that beautiful brushed aluminium isn't yours until you pass over your credit card, and you wouldn't want anyone dribbling over your new stereo now would you?
