Priestley's

Stocks an exquisite selection of beaded gowns, embroidered slips and Chinese bed jackets from the 1920s onwards. Definitely the kind of clothes you'd need an occasion for –can't see that aquamarine satin going down so well in Yates's –this shop gives vintage its good name back after it was hijacked by faded purple corduroy and printed polyester. Think Sophie Ellis Bextor rather than the Geri Halliwell does Fame look. The shop also has its very own stuffed fox, albeit a rather startled looking example of the species. Sadly not for sale.
