City Art Gallery
Seven whole centuries worth of pictures of bowls of fruit and buxom maidens. Traditional artwork from Western Europe housed in an Italian Renaissance–style building. Permanent paintings include work from Bellotto, Lowry, Nash and Etty, and for those more interested in ashtrays and vases there's a collection of 20th century studio pottery on show.
