Phoenix Cantonese Restaurant
Oriental restaurant that shares part of its name with Peter Kay's comedy series about a run down social club on the outskirts of Bolton. Similarities end there though –this eatery's been going way longer than Mr Kay's series, almost 20 years, and there's no grumpy old man in a wheelchair – well, only on Tuesdays –. The fading décor isn't dissimilar though. The food's decent enough and the Chinese community seem to like it –which can only be a good thing, unlike the aforementioned décor.
