Step into Colonna & Small's and be prepared to be greeted by the most attentive, knowledgeable and space-efficient baristas in Bath. It really does live up to its name – you can squeeze about twenty of your closest friends on the first floor, with a few chums from school in the basement, too. We don't mind getting intimate when the coffee is this good. The menu offers a plethora of single origin espressos, house blends and exotic teas – with free advice for anyone like us who looks at the board in bewilderment and tentatively asks for 'a coffee' (£2.10). This petite paradise is proof alone that size really doesn't matter.
