The Happy Return
Hidden under the council towers of despair sits this optimistically named pup, gate keeper to the gloomy estate lands. Its recent face lift has to some degree changed its appearance but its character still remains; no frills, just good old drinking. Populated heavily by students, the atmosphere is brilliant with none of the attitude that sometimes comes with old boozers. The food is hearty as well as dirt cheap, and combined with occasional acoustic music and a great quiz night, the Happy Return lives up to its name.
