Baity Kitchen
A pared-down café in the midst of Couture Boutique Street, Baity
Kitchen is a soothing place to sit with a tasty plate and forget about
your slimline chances of shopping nearby. With its concrete floor,
white walls and tree-shaded terrace, it attracts a young,
expensive-looking crowd. There's no fussiness about the healthy, simple
food though, with fresh Med and Middle Eastern influences - think
gemista (rice-stuffed veg), slabs of wild salmon and banana cake. You
wouldn't expect thrift with Chanel next door, but it's not cheap.
Somehow, though, a £3.50 side of broccoli feels like a bargain in this
neighbourhood.
