We've lost track of how many times the Millennium Dome has been a bit rubbish. At least now its main purposes in life are being a gig venue and a cinema, which are both hard to bugger up, although it is still plastered with branches of chain restaurants with less soul than they normally muster. Proud have decided they are so good that they can make a success of the club space (formally Matter) and have transformed it into a Vegas-style pile of bars, dance floors, fur rugs and chandeliers. It looks good, and we had fun, but you're paying a lot of money to enjoy a place that is further than we'd normally travel to visit a relative. Plus trying to dance while face to face with a contortionist's fanny makes us a touch uncomfortable, if we're honest.
