Olive Cafe

In a nod to these penny-pinching times, Olive has a sign outside the caf proclaiming ”Good food doesn't have to be expensive“. Judging by the standard of Olive's nosh, delicious food doesn't have to be expensive either. Builder-friendly fried brekkies pack a powerful punch – a mammoth plate packed with beans, hash browns, fried eggs, bacon, sausage, tomatoes, toast and mushrooms comes in at £4.80. For veggies, the bargain breakfast substitutes vegetarian sausage and includes squeak with your choice of bevvy for £4.90. Other than the breakfast, this is a Greek eatery – late-risers should come for lunch and chew on toothsome lamb shanks with fragrant rice.
