Jamm
Brixton can be hit or miss for clubs, but Jamm is as reliable as the good old conserve itself. The 10-minute walk from the tube and the fact that it looks like someone's house shouldn't put you off; they spend more time putting on decent nights than decking themselves out with steel and glass and poncing about with a cocktail list here. Unusually, for these parts, it leans towards the scruffy-rock end of the spectrum, but covers the bases with lots of other sticky, fruity musical flavours..
