Wholemeal Café

If you'd rather chew the cud than the cow, there aren't that many places in this neck of the woods with a solid array of veggie variety. In a fairly standard café set up, (blackboards instead of menus, neighbouring diners sharing elbow space) the Wholemeal Café serves up unassuming vegetarian classics like quiches, salads and stews to a pretty high standard. The main dishes are mid-priced but taste as though they've had some thought put into them and for once they're not all packed with an artery-hardening quantity of cheese.
