The Rio Cinema
A genuine East End cinema, the Rio has an excellent reputation for being a nice place to watch a film, (which is probably a good job for a cinema really - though it wouldn't be so great if it was, say, a barber's, or a plumbing shop), plus it plays host to some unusual flicks alongside the more mainstream selection. The Rio has also hosted the Kurdish Film Festval, so maybe Kazakhstan will get in on the act to try and trump Borat in 2007? Drinks and popcorn are well priced, which is handy if you go and see films like the recent four hour-long Andy Warhol documentary.
