The Globe Tavern
After three centuries you'd hope they'd have got it right. And they have - the Globe is a break from the bars scattered around here. It gets quite busy with creative cliques early evening but there's plenty of room outside if it gets packed. Good for people watching, and serves excellent fish and chips. Get battered in every glorious sense of the word.
