Reviewing this Pakistani canteen feels a bit like we're flogging our first–born child for £5 down Brick Lane Market. A recent jazzy refurb – modern art on the walls: check, leafy shenanigans: check, lick of white paint: check – has had no effect on the food, which is as authentically delicious as ever. Meat fans should order lamb chops – trust us or check out the marinades at the back – and veggies will be happy with fiery chick–pea or spinach karahis. Naans are buttery and rotis are massive, bubbly and freshly made. BYO booze or go local style with a jug of H20. .
