Portobello Gold The
This little pub could quite easily be lost amidst the hustle and bustle of the antiques bit of the market – Notting Hill Tube end – and that would be a shame, because the Gold is friendly and a real haven from all those market traders who talk like Mark Fowler. The food's great, particularly the Sunday lunch, and there are even little birds in gilded cages to serenade you as you recharge those batteries and a taste defying love-table which has to be seen to be believed.
