Liverpool is one of the best cities in England. It’s got culture, sport, great shopping and an even better nightlife. So if you haven’t visited yet you need to book yourself some Liverpool accommodation and pen in a weekend to make the pilgrimage to the home of The Beatles, Liverpool FC and the famous Scouse brow. 

Best for… the city centre
Hatters Liverpool is in the heart of Liverpool’s city centre. They’ve got a fully equipped kitchen, free Wi-Fi, a TV lounge and a BBQ courtyard on site and secure luggage storage too. They’re big on the social with movie nights, pizza nights, pancake nights and pub crawls. Most rooms are en suite and dorms fit up to 12 people – private rooms are also available.

Best for… making friends
Embassie Liverpool Backpackers is one of the most popular on HostelBookers.com. Every Thursday is Beatles night and you can join a free guided Beatles tour around the city ending at the famous Cavern Club. The Embassie is housed in a beautiful Georgian building built in 1820. There’s a unique homely atmosphere and they have Sky TV in the lounge area and a pool room too. If you’re in Liverpool to take in the football love you’ll enjoy the crazy football nights at the hostel. There’s also cheese and wine tasting nights, games nights and arts nights – you won’t have a problem making friends here!

Best for… student nostalgia
Victoria Hall, Liverpool, is student halls of accommodation most of the year round, but during the university holidays it’s the perfect place to hark back to your student days. It’s got an excellent city centre location and you can choose from single and double rooms in four/five bedroom apartments. Or if you’re in a group you can rent out the whole apartment. Stay here and you’ll be within walking distance of Church Street, Liverpool One, The Albert Dock and all the Universities. All the bedrooms have their own bathroom, desk and lockable door.

Best for… the Albert Dock
Just next to the historic Albert Docks you’ll find the YHA Liverpool. Stay in the Albert Dock area and you’ll be just a short stroll away from the Tate, the International Slavery Museum, the Maritime Museum and the Beatles Story. You’ll also be close to the ferry to get across the Mersey and see Antony Gormley’s sculpture installation on Crosby Beach. The YHA Liverpool is also just a few minutes’ walk from the city centre too. There’s a spacious kitchen and big comfy couches for you to sink into too.

Best for… Anfield Football Ground
Within walking distance of Anfield Football Ground you’ll find the suitably-named Football Lodgings – 2 Tancred Road. It’s also close to Goodison Park, home of Everton Football Club, and the city centre too. The 5-bedroom property has double and single bedrooms with some ensuite. You’ll also get a free breakfast in the fully fitted kitchen and lounge. If you’re going to any of the Liverpool Football Club games this is the perfect place to stay in Liverpool.
