Dough Bistro

A wise man once said that the most beautiful sound in the English language was 'BYO'. In your face, 'cellar door'. Inside this former bakery the décor is very New York. Yes, we said it, New York in old Yorkshire. Exposed bricks and everything else wood, it's cosy enough for a sweet little anniversary and understanding enough for a hard break-up. With all sorts of cuisine from monkfish to duck, and using as much seasonal produce as possible, this place puts the dough in dough-ray-me. Perhaps.

Heard so many good things about Dough Bistro, i couldn't wait to try it. The food was the best i've had in a long time. I had wild shark with tempura of calamari, garlic spinach and yellow tomato with a red chilli and corriander cream. Was sensational. I had the wild tiger prawn risotto to start, which was sensational, with the Yorkshire cheese board to finish. All was presented well, served in good time even though they were full, and the service was very good indeed. Going to try the early bird menu this week, will report back!
