The Old Police Station
Once the Chapeltown police station – and home to home to some seriously stubbly chins and tattoo collections –, this bar/eatery could probably boast a pretty interesting visitors book if it actually had one. Former prisoners can recreate that 'start of a long stretch' ambience by hiring the venue's authentic cell dining room for a small party of friends/inmates. Food is more pot–roasted poussin than lumpy gruel, and being situated in the heart of the 'nouveau village' of Chapel Allerton makes this a refreshing diversion from the city centre.
