Waterstones
When it comes to book signings, Waterstone's is the daddy. I would give you some fine examples of literary legends that have graced their presence but I'm still bitter that I spent £80 on a load of books I'll never read again and didn't even get to stroke Richard Madeley's newly coiffed do. But I can't end on a bad note cos their service is top–notch – the staff are ever so friendly and they do a grand job of not making you feel stupid when you ask them to find a book that was situated right under your nose.
