ABC
The history of ABC spans A-Z. In former lives it provided Scotland's first cinema screening (1896) and was a stamping ground for Hengler's Circus's lions, tigers and polar bears. Since its 2005 £2mil refit, ABC sprouted skinny jean-clad legs and an asymmetric haircut. Resembling a cavernous youth club, ABC is the student's choice. Its nooks and crannies encourage schmoozing, boozing and boogying to the indie soundtrack. The four bars offer more than just homogenized haircut music, there's also rock and soul.
