Deacon Brodies Tavern

The first thing that popped into Itchy's mind as we glanced over Deacon Brodie's traditional-style interior was: ”the bumbag is back; fashion is dead.“ Then we remembered we were on the Royal Mile, and these devotees of the crotch-based pouch were simply hapless tourists seeking the Scottish pub experience – panic over. Named after a legendary local crook, this place dishes out a predictable combination of Scotch whiskies and haggis lunches, so if you're new in town this will probably satisfy your urge for a taste of Edinburgh. Head deeper into Old Town for something closer to the real deal.
