BumFunk @ Cabaret Voltaire
After 13 years, Taste, the Sunday stalwart of Edinburgh's gay scene, passed the torch to this hyperactive, bastard child of a club night. BumFunk, which we presume isn't named after the smell that emanates from tramps, caters for the young and frisky so, if you want to keep it low-key, you'd better look elsewhere. The old Taste lineup is back with a new mix of funky house, upbeat electro and slick visuals, but the overall feel isn't a huge departure from it's predecessor. This is by no means a bad thing, so get that doctor's note forged for Monday.
