Godiva
There are few places in Edinburgh cooler than the art college area which occupies the far end of the historic Grassmarket. Here you can shop for student designs at reasonable prices, or simply gaze at all the sexy art students through their glass-plated, ultra-modern library – err, not that we actually do that. If you're out to impress/fit-in, Godiva is where you want to be heading. It's a little piece of Brick Lane and, whether its hipster, pure vintage or risky fashion-school experiments, you'll leave with a smile on your face – and maybe if you make some wise purchases, a too-cool-for-school swagger.
