The Liquid Room

If any decent band is performing in Edinburgh, chances are it'll be at the Liquid Room. Don't worry, this isn't some kind of weird bubble of viscous fluid (although that would be damn cool). A hybrid between a gig venue and a club, it manages to be both successfully – the place is the right size for a decent concert, and though the dance floor can get a little packed at times, the drinks are reasonable and the music consistently great. Makes a corking change from listening to cheese all night long, doesn't it?
