The Oxford Bar
Yes, it's the Inspector Rebus pub from all those Ian Rankin novels. Which has probably increased its business a hundred fold. One of the few ancient, old-fashioned pubs dotted around, the Oxford has been around for (literally) centuries and miraculously not been taken over by Wetherspoons. Full of rich history, which the staff are all too happy to relate, which makes it a genuinely interesting place for a pint not to mention the rather astounding 'pie machine' that's been there since 1950. (Alright, we admit it, we don't give a damn about the history, it's the pie machine we're after).
