Princes Street Mall
The Princes Street Mall is the sinking ship of the shopping centre world. It seems to be getting emptier all the time, shops are falling over themselves to leave and people now tend to give it a wide berth. As a result, it's best used as a shortcut for going elsewhere. Wondering why it's such a state? Check out the eating area. It's only fractionally less depressing than lunching in a morgue. Frankly, calling it a mall is pretty generous too: you'd be better off trying to find the latest UK chart releases at a Baghdad market stall.
