Harvey Nichols Fourth Floor Bar
Ok, so it's in Harvey Nichols, it's frequented by Edinburgh's social butterflies and it's expensive. But don't let this put you off, because despite Harvey Nics' upmarket, fashionable reputation, the Fourth Floor Bar is surprisingly relaxed. Great rooftop views and attentive service make it a perfect venue for late-night drinks and the cocktail list throws up some pretty innovative offerings. The drinks may be a bit pricey, but if you feel short-changed, you can always load up on free bar snacks.
