Capitol Shopping Centre
There is something tremendously appealing about big shopping malls. Maybe it's the incessant beeping of tills, or the fact that if you squint your eyes, you can almost convince yourself you're on the set of Mean Girls, and Lindsay Lohan might come strolling by. Either way, they're always a fun experience, and Queen Street's Capitol shopping centre in Cardiff is no exception.
It has a strong foundation of clothing shops, with H&M, Oasis and Jaeger to name just a few. Soho coffee will quench your thirsts bud, and Zavvi makes sure your eyes and ears are well taken care of. There are also plenty of stylish places to eat if the shopping makes you peckish. Capitol also caters for those craving something a little more original, boasting a vibrant mix of independent retailers, who are ready to sell you beautiful jewellery and clothes. You can even get your dodgy hair (if applicable) sorted out at the world-renowned Vidal Sassoon Salon.
The Capitol is car friendly, with 415 spaces for those arriving on wheels, as well as disabled and parent & child parking provisions, so everyone is well taken care of. Late night shoppers will be kept amused too; the Capitol is open 'til 7pm on Thursdays. The Capitol is proof that we can compete with the shopping malls of America, even if we don't have Li-Lo.
