One of the more established eateries in Cardiff Bay but the flag is still flying high. DeAlto is a bright, breezy Mediterranean restaurant with a relaxed café feel. Sharing a similar attitude to kids as our continental counterparts it's a popular venue for families with children, so depending on your proclivity to the little darlings it may be the kind of place you'd want to avoid with a hangover. It's also got an open kitchen so even if you do manage to rattle the chilled out staff, you can be confident that they're not putting anything unsavoury in your smoked salmon lasagne.
