Toucan Club
Having changed venue three times, St Mary's Street is the settled location to purvey the international message of funk. Fridays and Saturdays offer Latino, salsa, calypso, soul and funk across the continental style downstairs bar and the upstairs club. Drinks-wise we're talking pricey but worth it for the inviting, upbeat mood of the place. Makes a change from the Reps Uncovered atmosphere of the rest of St Mary's Street anyway. Thursday nights are run by promoters, Higher Learning, who do their best to bring the freshest international hip-hop to Cardiff. Definitely worth a night out.
