With fiendishly strong West Country cider the selling point of many a Bristolian establishment, them clever folk at the Rummer Hotel should be thoroughly applauded for their norm-breaking antics: a drinks menu bursting with rum. Fans of the Caribbean happy juice can steadily chug their way through around 80 blends – Itchy would stongly suggest this take place over numerous sittings – whilst kicking back in the cosy, low-key surrounds. While more studenty haunts may deem vodka 'n' pineapple an authentic cocktail, the Rummer takes mixology rather more seriously, and whips up quality shaken and stirred tipples, including Itchy's uber-girlie favourite, Pinkie.
