The Tobacco Factory
The location of this vibrant, independent centre was, unsurprisingly, once a factory that produced tobacco. Having been saved from demolition, it opened as a theatre and general space for the creative industries – offering a variety of dance classes throughout the week as well as children's shows and music. The theatre is marked out from the rest by its emphasis on innovation, experimentation and its unpredictable and colourful programmes. The Factory plays a solid role in contributing to the cultural community; making it a charming place and a deserved favourite.
