The Bell
The Bell has recently fallen victim to the 'refurb = price hike' phenomenon, and the bar list is now both fancy and expensive. That said, the atmosphere remains as friendly as ever, whether you're a local who pops in every night or you've stumbled across the pub for the first time. It's a warm, candlelit haven in the bleak Legoland concretescape of High Kingsdown and for that we are truly thankful. It's also pretty tiny, so be prepared to snuggle up. Cosy, but probably wise to pick your potential drinking buddies carefully.
