The Louisiana
If you've ever wondered what the bassist in a band smells like, nip down to The Louisiana – an intimate gig venue/pub where the stage and standing area are one and the same. It can't be beaten for atmosphere, and the prospect of having a few sharpeners with the bands before they hit the stage is always a pleasing one. The crowd always seem friendly enough, save for the one or two vertically gifted gigantors who insist on hogging the front 'row'; leaving you with spectacularly sweaty back views rather than the prodigious plucking talents which you ventured to the other side of the river to see.
