The Black Bear
The Black Bear has been under new ownership more times than Liz Taylor. Strange, really, for such a big swanky place. This time it seems they've got it right. It's a venue of multiple, equally cool personalities; where you can be cultivated Bruce Wayne – lounging artfully on their glamorous sofas with a coffee; or booze vigilante Batman – chucking pints of cider down your neck. Overlook the crowd from the restaurant on the inside balcony, or, find yourself a perch in their garden and be at one with the Bristol rooftops.
