Hobgoblin
It's what you'd call an old man's pub. But don't be put off. It does have the dark wood and a few crinkly bidders, but that's what adds to the charm. It's the perfect place to come for a quiet Sunday evening drink, or alternatively, rock up when there's a footie match showing on telly, as The Hobgoblin comes into its own then. Rammed full of people all clambering to see the match and complete with bacon sarnies for sale - it's the next best thing to being there for real. Plus, you can make it to the loo and back at halftime.
