Hatchet Inn, The
Go down a narrow back street off Park Street and you'll see the road widen and this great big white 15th century building with wooden beams and lead windows standing all alone in the middle of the road. I don't know who put it there. The traffic has to go around it. When the weather's nice the large courtyard gets a lot of sun and a lot of loafing students, although if you sit out there for too long you get the feeling you're sat in the middle of a roundabout. That aside it's a great little find and Sunday roasts here are almost legendary.
