The Druids

This place looks a bit like a youth club, it smells a bit like a youth club and given the average age of the clientele, you'd be forgiven for thinking it was, in actual fact, a youth club. After a day of heavy lifting (don't ask) Itchy was tired and hungry and didn't really want to think about things like appetisers. We were irresistibly drawn to the promise of reasonably priced Thai food, and £5.95 for a main course, including rice, really ain't bad. Whilst waiting an inexplicably long time for it to arrive, we amused ourselves by staring at what appeared to be bits of leftover Transformer stuck to the ceiling. Luckily the drinks here are also cheap – happy hour lasts till 10pm - so waiting wasn't overly painful. When our food did finally turn up it was better than expected. Should have thrown caution to the wind though, and tried one of the puddings for a mere pound, as we still had to be talked out of a Subway on the way home. Their roasts are apparently one to watch, as is the live music, so we may venture back in the near future – it's you we're thinking of here, honest.
