The George
Rather like a rabbit warren – not that I've been down a rabbit warren but I've seen Wildlife on One –. From the main room a corridor stretches out in front of you with tables and alcoves sneaking off alongside it. If you're there for a bite to eat and a quick pint, sit in the main area, any further back and you're in danger of succumbing to The George's equivalent of a black hole, where time, responsibilities and work seem to disappear. Don't say you haven't been warned.
