Princess Victoria
While its queenly older sister in Lahnden Tahn is run by the slightly crumbling Alfie Moon, the younger and hipper Victoria is alive and well in Brighton. It's trad in style, but attracts a wide range of likely local suspects. It also does well by being just off the beaten track and handily close to the city centre. The pub is also reassuringly old fashioned while being an oasis in the general Brighton hubbub. No wonder all the 'Enders young–uns faff off Albert Square and came down south every summer.
