Hoi Faan

Ooh arh my lover. With the smell of farms ahead we knew we had enteredthe West Country and yet, found ourselves firmly wedged into the Orientdelight that is new restaurant on the block; Hoi Faan. Containing adelicious array of favourite dishes, plus some we've never heard of(pigs knuckle anyone?). It's Aladdin's cave for those who enjoy the'traditional' Chinese dishes, or for anyone who wants to get funky withtheir food. And as you know we at Itchy are fearless, so chicken feetwere ordered. Although we may not have eaten them. Heck- truth be told,we stuffed our little chops.

<a style="font-style: italic;"href="http://thesunshinesontv.wordpress.com/" target="_blank">HannahHudman

The Tramshed

Set in a trendy location, The Tramshed is one of Bath's newest up-and-coming restaurants. The atmosphere is incredibly relaxing, and you'll be met with service so fantastic you'll forget how to take care of yourself. The vintage interior combines old-style furnishings with modern art to make a quirky, yet welcoming, space. With wonderful seasonal ingredients, the kitchen offers an impressive selection of food; from delicious traditional favourites to exquisite contemporary creations, combining the best of British and Mediterranean cooking. The staff are remarkably passionate about their selection of treasured wines, and will gladly let you taste as many as you can muster. We'd recommend sitting outside on the lovely sun terrace whilst sipping their gorgeous handmade cocktails.

Hannah Perella

Jimmy Spices

Sounding a bit like a dodgy market stall you might find in Albert Square, Jimmy Spices is in fact an airy, large eating establishment with an impressive open plan buffet kitchen. Now, Itchy is not the greatest fan of the ”world buffet“ eateries that are popping up everywhere at the moment, but Jimmy Spices rises above its competitors. Of course you get the standard Chinese and Indian dishes which are all in all, nothing to write home about. However, there is a fantastic stir fry station where you can pick your own ingredients and sauce and watch your dinner sizzle away in an array of fancy wok tossing and an alarming amount of flames (ladies watch your lashes and eyebrows). The Mexican station is worth a look too.

Laura Roberts

Colonna & Small's

Step into Colonna & Small's and be prepared to be greeted by the most attentive, knowledgeable and space-efficient baristas in Bath. It really does live up to its name – you can squeeze about twenty of your closest friends on the first floor, with a few chums from school in the basement, too. We don't mind getting intimate when the coffee is this good. The menu offers a plethora of single origin espressos, house blends and exotic teas – with free advice for anyone like us who looks at the board in bewilderment and tentatively asks for 'a coffee' (£2.10). This petite paradise is proof alone that size really doesn't matter.
